Accessibility Statement

Gater is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.

Standards

Our platform aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA, the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), and the Czech Act No. 99/2019 Sb. on accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public-sector bodies when used by such bodies.

Conformance status

This statement applies to https://gater.lovable.app and the Gater student/admin web applications. Current status: partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA — known limitations are listed below.

Measures we take

Semantic HTML and ARIA where appropriate, with Radix UI primitives for complex widgets.
Keyboard navigation across all interactive elements; visible focus indicators.
Colour contrast meets WCAG AA on text and UI components, verified against our design tokens.
Captions and transcript support for any pre-recorded media (proctored sessions are not media we publish).
Form labels, error messages, and inline validation messages associated with their controls.
Live regions for screen-reader announcements during exam flow.
Accessible alternatives for biometric proctoring on request (manual proctor review).

Known limitations

Some legacy PDF certificates are images of text and may not be screen-reader friendly. We will provide a text version on request.
Live proctoring requires camera and microphone — candidates who cannot use these can request an in-person alternative through their institution.

Enforcement

Czech residents may, after contacting us, file a complaint with the supervisory authority Digitální a informační agentura or the Czech Data Protection Authority (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, ÚOOÚ) for data-protection aspects.
