Gater uses a minimal set of cookies and similar local storage to keep the platform working. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.

1. Strictly necessary

• Session cookie — keeps you signed in.
• examguard_locale — remembers your preferred language (EN/CS).
• CSRF token — protects form submissions.

2. Functional

• View mode — for admins, remembers whether you're viewing as admin or previewing as student.

3. Analytics

If your institution enables analytics, we record aggregated, non-identifying usage to improve the product. No third-party advertising network has access.

4. Managing cookies

You can clear cookies via your browser settings. Disabling strictly-necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and exam delivery.
