- Is the pilot really free?
- Yes. Up to 100 proctored sessions on a single faculty, no card required. After that you can keep using Gater on the Faculty plan or stop — your data is exportable either way.
- Per-session vs per-student — what's the difference?
- We charge per actually-proctored session, not per enrolled student. If 1,000 applicants register but only 800 sit the exam, you pay for 800. No idle-seat fees.
- What about EU data residency?
- All customer data is stored in EU regions. The Data Processing Agreement and sub-processor list are public. See the Security white-paper for details.
- Can we self-host?
- Self-hosting is available on the Institution plan with a separate licensing agreement. Most universities prefer the managed offering for the SLA and managed updates.
